Bollinbrook Brownies Saved from Closure

A Brownie unit from Bollinbrook which is located on the Cheshire Boarder has avoided closure on the unit. The unit was originally ran by one leader who was supported by two young leaders and also a parents rota. The Brownie unit was near enough at its end of their journey due to the one leader having to many responsibilities to take on. The leader of the unit was managing the units admin, program planning and had to lead each of the brownies meetings in order for the unit to keep at it's best and to remain open. CYU Chapelford Project sees investiture of 38 Cubs & Beavers plus 4 adults

A brand new Scout group in Warrington is supplying fun and adventure for almost 40 young people. The group, the 34th Warrington West, is based in Chapelford Primary School, Great Sankey, and all the youngsters were officially invested at a special ceremony attended by the Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, Mr David Briggs. FareShare Project Up & Running!

Youth Federation's Sustain Team and Cheshire Youth United have built relations with FareShare, a charity who save's good food destined for waste and sends it to charities and community groups who transform it into nutritious meals for vulnerable people. As well as food stuffs, FareShare also receive non-food items such as cleaning products, clothes, books, toys, table wear, cooking utensils and bathroom sundries, through a new partnership The Sustain team are working to distribute these non-food stuffs to groups around Cheshire. CYU first Careers Event “Preparing for and delivering a spectacular interview”

This October, Crewe Alex Stadium saw the first Cheshire Youth United careers event, 'Preparing for and delivering a spectacular interview'. The event, the first in what we hope will be a series of career events, was designed to introduce young people, specifically from uniformed organisations, to key employers from the local area. Chapelford, nr Warrington welcome their first uniformed youth group

The Development of over 1000 family homes and counting had next to no provision for young people, that was until Scouts, in partnership with Chapelford Village Primary School and Cheshire Youth United, established a new Beaver Colony and Cub Pack for girls and boys aged 6 - 10. Haslington Boy’s Brigade

The team at Haslington Boy's Brigade were delighted to open their doors to the new Anchor and Junior section this October. In partnership with Cheshire Youth United, the Haslington Boy's Brigade team advertised and ran 3 taster sessions for new sections available to boy's aged 5 - 11. The sessions were advertised through local schools, the community and the local press. After signing up around 20 new young people to the group it was decided that the new sections were sustainable an on the week following the taster sessions, boys were keen to purchase their uniform!
